This book mainly deals with the hrdrocarbone-generating conditions and criterion of the Jurassic coal-measure source rocks, the geochemical characteristics of coal-derived oils and gases, the mechanisms of hrdrocarbon generation and expulsion and the hydrocarbon-generating model of coal-measure source rocks, and the regularity of oil and gas environments based on the research of the formation, evolution and sedimentary environments of the Turpan-Hami basin.
The book not only discusses the coal-derived geochemistry of the basin but also gives an example for the investigation of oil formation of the Jurassic coal-measure organic matter (including coal and coal-seam mud stone) from the northwest of China
