Atlas of Plants in Dunhuang Grottoes本书依据敦煌石窟的地理分布和石窟壁画中植物图像资料，对石窟所在地的植物物种和植被类型进行了系统介绍，旨在揭示敦煌石窟周边植物多样性及生态环境特征，阐述植物对石窟保护的价值和生态学意义。全书分总论和分论两部分。总论包括丝绸之路与敦煌、敦煌石窟及其价值、敦煌石窟的保护，以及植物与敦煌石窟等内容。分论蕨类植物采用PPGⅠ系统，裸子植物采用杨永系统，被子植物采用APGⅣ系统，共收录敦煌石窟周边维管植物71科276属389种。其中，蕨类植物1科1属1种；裸子植物4科6属10种；被子植物中单子叶植物纲10科41属52种，双子叶植物纲56科228属326种。书中对每种植物的形态特征、分布与生境、资源价值进行了描述，并附有植物特征照片。
