Contents and Geographical Coverage of Maps:
As a basic volume of marine chemistry in the South China Sea, the volume is a collection of 352 maps describing the horizontal distribution, vertical distribution and sectional distribution of 18 elements of marine chemistry in the South China Sea , including dissolved oxygen , dissolved oxygen saturation , pH, suspended particulate matters , active phosphorus ,total phosphorus, dissolved phosphorus ,active silicate , nitrite-N , nitrite-N and ammonium-N , oils, total organic carbon ,copper ,lead ,zinc, cadmium and mercury.
Scope: 3°00’-26°30’N，105°30’-122°15’E for the scale of 1:8500000 and 3°00’-26°30’N，105°00’-122°30’E for the scale of 1:13000000 . Base maps adopt the Mercator projection . The datum latitude is 15°.
