This book is a collection of recent achievements gotten by Chinese researchers in the field of Marine Quaternary geology, especially in the field of offshore geological hazard investigation and environmental geological studies since 1991. Similarly to other coastal countries in the world, marine geological environment changes and the occurring, developing, consequences of geological hazards, and countermeasures that we should take have become the important research topic for China's marine quaternary geological studies. The 22 papers in this book are part of the achievements in this aspect. All these papers were written by researchers who have enjoyed title higher than associate professor(Ph.D), representing the newest level in this field in China
