《西藏湖泊底栖动物研究》通过对西藏41个湖泊的系统调查，综合其他资料，揭示了西藏湖泊底栖动物的群落结构和区系特征，分析了西藏不同水生生境底栖动物组成及其影响因素，揭示了底栖动物对盐度胁迫的响应模式。通过与周边地区的比较，分析了海拔对底栖动物的影响及其机制，即海拔对底栖动物多样性的影响可能主要通过三个途径：①海拔升高导致气温降低，进而导致水温降低，最终导致底栖动物多样性降低；②海拔升高导致降水量降低和蒸发量增加，进而导致湖泊盐度增加，最终导致底栖动物多样性降低； ③海拔本身作为一种隔离因子，海拔越高，隔离作用越强烈，底栖动物多样性越低。
