This book, Illustrations of Medicinal Fungi in China, studies 314 species medical fungi in China, describing their morphology, microstructure and wild ecology with pictures. The Chinese have been using mushrooms as medicines for around 2000 years ,but the systematically studies on medicinal fungi were from 80's of last century.Around 1000 fungal species were recorded as medicinal fungi worldwide,of which 540 species were found in China .This book summarizes the knowledge of the medicinal mushrooms in China.Because some species are very rare or too small to be used,314 commonly used species based are reported from the country in this boo.A full description in Chinese for each species is supplied based on studies of our saples from China.All the species are illustrated with both colour photos and microscopic drawings.Besides the description,hosts or growing environment,growth seasons,collecting method,distribution in China and medicinal values of each apeciies are provided.
