Handbook of Common Ornamental Trees & Shrubs in East Africa，This handbook is to introduce trees and shrubs of ornamental value in East Africa, and to provide helpful information for researchers, landscape designers and gardeners working with them at a practical level. The species here are arranged alphabetically (scientific names, A-Z). Classification of angiosperms and gymnosperms follows APG IV (2016) and Christenhusz et al.(2011) respectively. The information about each species includes its common name, family, genus, origin and distribution, main characteristics of major components (trunk/stem/bark, leaves, flowers and fruits), habitat, propagation and cultivation, application in landscape and other uses.
