The data obtained from stations in the whole of China (1951-2000) are comprehensive and accurate and represent the climatological features very well. The discussion integrates the track and intensity of the TC with the severe weather it brought about in each province and city, showing the climatological features of every category of high winds and heavy rainfall. The atlas skillfully utilizes graphics and tables to blend a clear picture of the evolution of various quantities.It is published bilingually in both Chinese and English and the contents are professional,, practical, popular and original. It is the first climatological atlas for TC wind and precipitation.
